Litmux Studio is made by Litmux Technologies in Ghana. This page says what we keep about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep as little as we can.
Your designs stay on your computer
Drawings, boards, circuits, programs and projects are saved on your own computer. We do not upload them. The only exception is what you choose to send to Litmux AI (see below).
What we keep
- Your account: your name, e-mail address and a scrambled form of your password (we can not read the password itself), your plan and when it ends, and when you last used the app.
- Your computers: for each computer you sign in on, a fingerprint made from its hardware ID (a one-way code, not the ID itself), the computer's name, its operating system and the app version. This is how a licence stays on the computers you choose.
- Your country: worked out from your internet address when you sign in, download or pay. We keep the country, not the address.
- Free trials: to stop one person taking many trials, we keep a one-way code made from the computer and from the network address the trial started from - never the address itself.
- Payments: what you bought, the amount, the date, and for Mobile Money the number and the wallet holder's name the network returns. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
- Activity: a short record of sign-ins, check-ins, payments and security events (for example a wrong password, or a licence copied to another computer), with the date and the country.
- Downloads: which installer was downloaded, when, and from which country - nothing that identifies you.
Litmux AI
When you ask Litmux AI a question, the app sends your message, and the circuit, program or pictures you attach, through the Litmux server to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write the answer. The Litmux server keeps only how many credits the answer used - not your messages or attachments.
Who we share it with
- SvdPay, our payment gateway (built on Hubtel), to take your payments, refunds and automatic renewals.
- Anthropic, only the Litmux AI questions you send.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your account information is kept while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as the tax and accounting rules of Ghana require. Ask us to close your account and we delete the rest.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we keep about you, to correct it, or to delete your account. You can sign a computer out of your account at any time from the app, and cancel automatic renewal from your account page.
Security
Licences are signed so they can not be faked, connections to our server are encrypted, and passwords are stored only in a scrambled form. Only Litmux staff who need it can see account information.
